1- The video is not of a plane crash.
2- Pretty basic stuff in the article (even when there is high level of non-compliance in real cases). Additional advise should include: know how to operate the doors of the plane by reading the safety card, and noting that the plane may have different type of doors that require different procedures to open. Know where your life vest is located and how (and where) to put it on and inflate it. If the masks fall, don't lose a second. Useful consciousness can be as low as 5 seconds at very high altitude. Put it over your moth and nose and start breathing immediately. Take care of the elastic band and helping others later. Your companion may pass out if they cannot put their mask themselves immediately, but they will recover very soon and completely when they start to receive oxygen after you've helped them. If you try to help your companion and you pass out in the process, neither you nor your companion will receive oxygen and you may both die or have permanent brain damage. If the plane is about to crash land out of the airport in a cold place, or in the water, time permitting, grab your sweater an your jacket. It would be a pity that you survive the crash only to succumb to hypothermia shortly after. By no means cross your legs or put them back under your own seat. It increases the chances that they get seriously injured what would impair your evacuation. If there is smoke, get out of there ASAP. Don't lose time videotaping or grabbing stuff. Smoke can be toxic and kill you in seconds. Leaving the plane 5 seconds earlier can be the difference between life and death.

Statistics are an amazing thing... If you take two flights, you double your chances of being killed in a plane crash...pretty significant jump if you ask me.
