  • The AIRR Act Might Not Be DOA After All

It has been just about a year since the AIRR Act was ultimately shelved last February. While it did pass through the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, it feel flat on the House floor. In its defense, the AIRR Act was asking an awful lot out of a bill that would ultimately have to cross the desk of democrat champion Barrack Obama. The AIRR Act is multi-tiered bill, while not exactly an omnibus monstrosity the likes of the Affordable Care Act, but the prime mover in the bill is the measure to privatize Air Traffic Control (ATC). This has been met with mixed reviews, depending on the lobbyist in question.
