  • DPI for Internet Photos

Hi, I need some help on resizing images for internet usage, i.e. uploading to Jetphotos, and Flickr. When I resize to 1024 by 683 in Photoshop, the DPI is around 800-900. Is there a quick way of reducing the DPI and maintaining the quality? I'm probably missing a step in my processing routine; any help would be appreciated.

Hi, the dpi (dots per inch) is only important if use your pictures at the printing business. For the web its absolutely irrelevant. What counts is just the size of the photo, in this case 1024 x 683 pixel.
If you make a test you can see the file size is almost the same, no matter if you have used 1 dpi or 10000 dpi
