    Hi together,

I just got this shot of Magritte (OO-SNC) rejected. https://www.jetphotos.com/viewreject_b.php?id=5822302

The comment of the Screener was:
"it lacks a bit brightness. It also needs NIGHT SHOT category"
How can the Night Shot category apply when the sun is still above the horizon (see visible shadow on the fuselage) and the exposure time is something like 1/320s and ISO 100 ?

I don't know if the picture is visible, if you are not logged in, if not, you can see it here: http://www.airliners.net/photo/Bruss...20-214/4297729

    Thanks for your help.

    Regards, Max

The answer is revealed in the upload guidelines ... this is from the Categories descriptions.....

This category should apply for the following: - Dawn, Dusk & Night. For Dusk & Dawn shots these should show a red-orange glow and long shadows. Dusk or dawn shots where the aircraft is a silhouette in front of a rising or setting sun would be a time where backlit shots are acceptable and Night Shot would apply. The sun needs to be very close to the horizon for Night Shot to apply.
If it 'ain't broken........ Don't try to mend it !

Because the screener was nice enough to correct it for you.
Reuploading rejected pics with no change at all can result in a ban if done too often.
