  • Everything about Dorval. Destinations, aircraft, history

Sometimes, I really hate the internet. It always seems to provide data which is not older than 12 hours.

But that is only a cheap lie.

Since when the heck is MTPP deleted from the RV (Air Canada Rouge) flight plan, and why? And that's a fact, I just "telephoned" with RV.

I wouldn't have opened this thread if I knew at least one half of an answer.

Expedia dot de gives you one sentence, for flights between CYUL and MTPP, that I have NEVER received since 1978:
"Dieser Flughafen befindet sich auf der schwarzen Liste und kann nicht gebucht werden. Bitte geben Sie eine andere Stadt, einen anderen Flughafen oder Flughafencode ein."

Who on this planet owns a Black List, so that Port au Prince appears on that list?

    And why?

PS: You can feel free to delete Air Canada Rouge from this list:
Port au Prince, airlines and destinations

But I still need a reason. Anyone?!

Hm. After not much more than 25 minutes of research, I tend to say that the servers at expedia dot de are down, or under sinister influence.

MTPP seems to be open. Evidence?

      MTPP on the radar.

PS: As I mentioned I've "telephoned" with Air Canada Rouge. They definitely deleted Port au Prince from their flight plan. But that BY FAR does not mean that PAP has disappeared from the worldwide radar.

Expedia (USA) might suffer from happenings since the end of 2016. Example?

Germany has been visited by Obama, in contrast to the VC-25, in 2017.

      And
      God only knows
who in six months will own a radar where Haiti still is on the screen. I'll let you know.

        (May 31th, 2017)

The German Ministry of Foreign Affairs today has not issued a warning that is critical for Germans who like to travel to Haiti.
[Quelle: Auswärtiges Amt, Reisewarnungen zum 31. Mai 2017]

Thus, for pilots from this side of the Atlantic Ocean, Port au Prince is open.

Expedia dot de seems to have a serious problem.
