  • Reducing DPI and Images by 1024x683

Hello. I'm having trouble with resizing and DPI. I notice that alot of aviation photographers reduce the DPI to say 72 dpi for their photos and manage to keep the portions to 1024x683. The question is how? I am using PS.

Certainly on PS9, when you go to image size, you should see a window coming up with pixel number and image size. Under image size is a box with resolution, you can adjust that to 72 and then change the number of pixels. It should then come out as 72 dpi at least it does for me

There is no need to watch the dpi, if you want to show your photos on the web. dpi has to be correctly set for prints.

Simply resize to the pixel-number you want, that's it.
