This is more a computer issue generally, than a photography question, but since I have been experiencing it with my photo processing over the past few days, I thought I'd ask it.
Basically, when I enter some commands with my mouse - particularly when cropping, the cropping does not actually occur; the mouse instead freezes and it brings up a long text box of options, none of which are of any use. I have to try numerous times (and say some rude words) before it finally does what I want it to do.
I've been experiencing this with other programs; some - such as scrolling down my photos while uploading, I can live with, but generally, I'm finding it quite frustrating. Has anyone had experience of situations where you're trying to do something with the mouse and all you get it text boxes? What causes this and is there a solution? I've tried re-booting, but it doesn't seem to have helped much.
