  • Rejection help for a newbie

    Hello,

My picture below has been rejected twice and i really don't how i could it accepted

Would you please tell me what 'CATEGORY' it should be inserted to ?
I previously added it to 'air to air'

Regarding "Bad Composition (bad framing / aircraft not centered)"
    I uploaded the picture at 1280 x 881 size.

    The original picture size was : 5184 x 3888
Could you advice me where i could find a tuto to turn a large picture into a specific frame size with photoshop.
So far, i only used crop and resize functions with Photoshop CS6

Many thanks and have a good day,

While I'm not a team member, but I'm hoping to help you with the details below:
You should mark a small propeller.
Also the plane looks too low in the frame.

    Kind regards,
    Erez.

      Hi there

The category needed is Small Prop. If you have a look at your screening email, the screener who dealt with this image did leave you a message saying the aircraft is too low in the frame. It is also quite backlit meaning the aircraft is a little on the dark side, if you can try shoot with the sun behind you so the aircraft is in direct light rather than the sky being bright behind you should end up with much more balanced looking images.

Further to PMN's answer.... I see that you use Photoshop CS6. To size an image to 3:2 format 1280x853pixels select the crop tool and enter the figures as required. Type in the format 1280 pax and 853 px. This will become the default crop size every time you use the crop tool. Centre an aircraft through the middle of the fuselage.

On the subject of categories... Air to Air only applies when you are taking a picture of one aircraft when you are airborne in another.
If it 'ain't broken........ Don't try to mend it !
