Gear-up and clean or down and configured?

      What does it matter?

      1. There are target airspeed ranges that are configuration-specific.

      2. Believe it or not, I'm kind of black and white at thinking (as an outsider) that maintaining a healthy airspeed when low is important. (or maybe even up high too...not that DELIBERATELY stalling a stall-certified plane in a properly-executed practice maneuver is bad.)
