      Hello everyone,
Looking at my latest (pre-)screening results I realized that my photos have a problem with 'over-sharpness' (two examples can be found in the attachment). Is there a way to fix this problem (I work with Gimp and didn't sharpen the pictures in the editing-process)?

        2. color, oversharpened, dark

        I don't use Gimp, so can't comment.

          Hi dlowwa,
Thank you for pre-screening on the photos although they were only examples for the over-sharpness in my photos .
Is it justified to start a new thread for the 'Gimp-question' as there would be maybe more people who see the question?

          Would this SunExpress be OK?

            No, also suffering from oversharpening/compression.

Possible slight issues with color (yellow) and horizon (CW). Other than that, should be fine.

Needs a little CCW, but otherwise should be ok.

                          Hello everyone,

in 2014 (so two years before I even knew the word 'planespotting' ) i took this photo during our trip to New York.
Would it be OK? I'm not really sure about the horizon.

Looks soft to me and regarding the horizon, i'd make sure the verticals in the center of the image are vertical.

Thank you very much for your quick reply!
To me it looks a bit soft too but I didn't want to over-sharpen the picture . I will sharpen it.

                              Best regards,
