2: OK, maybe borderline lacking contrast, can go either way in screening

In number #1 which points are soft?
About number #3, I also think it's a tad dark but if I increase the exposure to much the fuselage will blow out. You think adjust the curves will produce better results?

3: Correcting the curves is definitely the better way to improve the photo. If you have a RAW file, you can start adjusting shadows and black tones in the raw converter
