787 looks fine. And the warning tool in lightroom is extremely sensitive, small warning areas like those are no problem.

      Thank you very much, seahawk-san!

I appreciate you for checking my picture.
And I really didn't know "the warning tool in lightroom is extremely sensitive".
Now I become free of worry about the warning of it.

I wonder which way (more/less contrast) I should edit this photo...

Best regards and a Happy New Year.

The photo has clipped highlights and shadows. Checking the light in the photo, I doubt it can be brought to an acceptble level, unfortunately.

            Hello, LX-A343

Thank you very much for your advice.

The light in raw file (original file) is not clipped.
I'm wondering if it's "too much" or "too little".
Therefore, I don't know which way (direction) I should edit.

Anyway, I'm going to check it again.

            Best Regards

There is too much contrast between the dark shadows and the bright sky.

                Thank you very much, dlowwa-san!
Yes, it's been so difficult for me to edit.
Now I understand the meaning of "too much contrast" of that photo.

Thank you for screening at all times.
                  Please allow me to ask.

This photo [id 6428701] was rejected for "Backlit".

                  I appealed as,
                  >> This is not "Backlit". Sun shines from 2 o'clock direction. Thank you in advance.

                  And Admin Comments is,
                  >> you're showing the part which is in the shadow (belly) - regards

                  Sorry to say but, my questions are;

                  1. I've confirmed "general rule". And it says,
                  - Don't take pictures with the sun in your eyes >> No, I didn't.
                  - shooting against the sun >> No, I didn't.
                  - puts the visible half of the aircraft in shadow >> Please take a look
at rear Reg.number [EI-EJN] on fuselage, it gets the sunbeam.
And it shows much more than "half".

Is this "general rule" for backlit fair for everyone, for every photo?

                  2. If we are not allowed to show "the part which is in the shadow",
I wonder why these kind of photos have been accepted?
                  - example 1) https://www.jetphotos.com/photo/8877264
                  - example 2) https://www.jetphotos.com/photo/8872752

                  * Above 2 examples photos are mine.
I never show any examples that were taken by another photographer.

For the purpose not to waste thread of the forum,
I use this "Editing Advice" thread.
If I should better use another thread or post new thread,
                  let me know it please.

                  Thank you very much.

I agree that it is technically not backlit, but instead should have been a 'contrast' rejection. Hope that helps clear up any misunderstanding.

I appreciate your swift reply, Dana-san.
I got nervous because I received 2 wrong reasons for rejection since yesterday.
                      Now I understood, I'm ok.
                      Thank you very much.

                        Hi, JP Crew

Thank you for screening at all times.

                        Is this backlit?
If so, the shadow of main wing should not appear on the fuselage, I think.

                        Best Regards,

                          Best Regards,
It appear that the sun comes from the left to the top...this is why the photo lacks contrast. IMHO the image is close to be backlit. But it`s just my point of view...I put your image in the PS and increase the left side (blacks) so I see that there is no enough light directly into the fuselage.

In this case it will be better to wait more comments.

                          Cheers,

                          Vinicius

Not quite backlit. The bright clouds in the background are causing the contrast issue, and the lack of strong light on the side of the aircraft doesn't help. Borderline for me but you may be able to improve it with a better edit.
