I've been having some issues with this series of pictures - can someone advise if this is okay?

Would be rejected for soft/blurry, and probably contrast.

Does this one in the set fair any better? Night shot is a given because of last light of day.

I'm afraid some parts are just too blurry, like the nose.

              Regards

New camera, new location, so I wanted to check and see if this would work - first in the series of pictures.

Editing halo (circular band in sky), and slightly oversharpened. The latter probably passable, the former probably not.

Thanks Dana - will try a slightly different edit then.

Dana - be interested in your thoughts on this - this is SOOC - excuse a few dust sports - but - just equalized - that is all - thoughts on the halo in the center? This is a D3 with Sigma 50-500 lens on it.Click image for larger version

No in camera processing going on? Some cameras have automatic lens correction settings applied to the files, so that might be it. Looks like vignetting correction gone wrong.

Otherwise, some kind of lens issue likely.

I thought it might have been internal correction too - but - pictures taken before and after at other airports and other landscapes - no issues - LEMG pictures are spot on. These are LIRF late afternoon from the hotel I was at - something I guess with the time of day, sun location, etc. - just totally confused......

If you're judging against other blue-sky images taken at other locations ok, but I don't think you'd notice such an effect in typical landscape photos.

Excluding all else, maybe some kind of internal lens ghosting/flare?
