  • Majky737 - Editing Advice

    Hi,

I have rejected one photo here:

JetPhotos.com is the biggest database of aviation photographs with over 5 million screened photos online!

I edited photo again - edit is attached to this post... but the question is, if it worth to try edit it again, as the conditions were poor (low light due sunrise + clouds).

    Thank you.

The color and contrast are very poor, so no, I don't think more editing will help unfortunately.

        Hi,

refering to reject https://www.jetphotos.com/viewqueued_b.php?id=6216319 I adjusted histogram by curves. Just want to know, if new edit (attached) is better.

        Thank you.

A bit better, let's say borderline acceptable. But it looks a bit soft. I would also tweak the curves to get more contrast in the aircraft itself. Just trying to increase chances of acceptance

Thank you for your feedback. I used curves again to balance luminosity histogram. I also added some extra sharpening. Hope the result looks better then previous edits.

Borderline for the contrast, but I'd add it.

                Hi.

Recently I received reject of one my photo: https://www.jetphotos.com/viewqueued_b.php?id=6229318

I agree with dark rejection, so I reedited photo.

Second reason was backlit so... does it worth to submit this photo?

Secondly, I have here another photo took during dawn. Unlucky, clouds were on sky, so it is hard to make contrast look good. So the same question... does it worth to submit this photo?

                Thank you for your reply.

Both photos are attached in posts below this one.

                Regards
                Marian

Doesn't quite look backlit to me, just dark. Contrast is a bit flat as well, but backlit shouldn't be an issue.

Likely to be rejected for soft/contrast/color.

Quality looks ok on all of those.

                            Thank you.

I have one more question. Here I have reject for Undersharpened/Soft:
JetPhotos.com is the biggest database of aviation photographs with over 5 million screened photos online!

is this photo fixable by adding some extra sharpening? Isn't it blurry and therefore not fixable?

                            Thank you for your advice.

                            Regards
                            Marian

Looks quite soft, but can't tell if it's actually blurry at this size. Adding a little sharpening to this one won't help I'm afraid, you'd need to re-work the original, assuming it's not blurry.
