  • Flying.Fonz - Editing advice

    Hi,

I'm new to photography and around here so looking for some advice. My photo was rejected as undersharpened (soft) with too much or too little contrast.

JetPhotos.com is the biggest database of aviation photographs with over 5 million screened photos online!

Any suggestions on hoe to improve are greatly appreciated.

    Cheers

Doesn't seem to soft to me, but the contrast is unnatural - looks overprocessed actually, like too much clarity or shadow/highlight tool. There's an orange tint as well. The quality looks good enough that a good re-edit should make it acceptable.

Thanks for the advice and will work on the picture.

The light was very interesting that day with a lot of orange flashing around and deeper yellows. It made it all very atmospheric with the snow.

      Cheers

        Flying.Fonz - prescreening request / editing advice

        Hi,

I'm looking for advice on this rejection:

JetPhotos.com is the biggest database of aviation photographs with over 5 million screened photos online!

        The rejection notes were:

        Over Processed / Bad postprocessing
Too much or too little contrast

The subject of this photo was a damp cold soaked fuselage which gave rise to very unusual and interesting lines, colours and shades at sunset. Its had very little if any post processing and mostly by the use of Levels for contrast purposes.

        Cheers.

                  Many thanks.

I've reworked them focusing on the halos and over processing. Grateful for feedback on this set.
