    Quick question if I may.

I uploaded a photo as a new reg using the guidance from a previous post that mentioned there is normally a grace period (not the 48hrs from the guidelines) though I can't remember the details. I wanted to check what the ruling is as I uploaded this one but it was rejected.

As there were no other comments, I assumed there were no other issues with the photo aside from the hot rejection. If that's not the case could I get your views on it please.

    Cheers

Soft, and maybe a touch dark, but otherwise should work. Gotta love the DR a high-end full-frame can provide

True, but gotta know how to use it .

Thanks. Looking at it, it's too grainy to sharpen it without it looking weird.

    Hi,

More sunset work from last week. How's this one?

Aircraft is purposely slightly below centre to keep the sunset.

    Cheers

Aircraft might be too dark for some, but that's a subjective thing, and would be ok for me.

Thanks. I guess that's the beauty of photography.

I have this one too. Any thoughts?

Separately, I have this one but couldn't find a category for it but saw that others have posted similar ones. Is it acceptable and which category should be used?

Color looks off (purple cast), and maybe slight halo around the tail.

No special category needed, but the closer winglet is quite out of focus, so I personally don't think the composition works, and given you would need to use the info for the closer (OOF) winglet, don't think many others will either.

Very useful and thanks very much.

A question regarding the purple cast, that's how the light was during the evening, not artificial and part of the reason for the composition. I've never seen a purple sky such as this one that was transitioning from red to blue

Sky looks normal/reasonable, but the fuselage of the aircraft has a strong purple cast, which is what I was referring to. White fuselage normally wouldn't have such a tint, especially without any direct light falling on it, but maybe there was some strange atmospheric phenomenon happening.

That was the point, for a few minutes that evening. The sky directly above had a purple cast so everything in the foreground had the purple cast too. The locals explained how it is a local phenomenon in the summer Unfortunately because it doesn't lend itself to an obvious description its automatically considered 'overprocessed' and no point in trying to explain as it'll get rejected. Personal collection and a fun evening out.

    Thanks anyway.

All three probably borderline for contrast/dark, and you might want to crop the first two a bit tighter.

Slight orange tint on both, otherwise would be ok for me.

These two are old and not particularly good so wanting to gauge what is acceptable.
