I'm aware that no. 1, 2 & 5 might suffer from contrast problems. If they do please let me know if they can be fixed or not.
    Have a nice day,
    Dara
1,2 and 5 suffer indeed from lack of contrast. Ask yourself, if you really want to have them in your portfolio or wait for a better chance.
    3, 4: OK

    Hey guys,
I have this one rejected for "horizon" and "category". For the "horizon" part, I think it should be fine. What do you think?

Agree horizon looks ok, but I would have added soft as well.

Both a bit dark & noisy, and the second soft as well.

For the dark part, should I elevate the midtones? Or do you mean the overall exposure?

    1) poor/dull contrast
    2) should be ok
    3) a bit too dark and 0.2 CCW rotation needed

    Regards
    Alex

The contrast between the underexposed cockpit and the overexposed window kills it.

Is there a technique you can suggest when taking these kind of shots? Would using a flash make a difference?

A HUGE difference! Using a fill flash is exactly what you need.

It's WAY better and looks acceptable

Just the last one that could be rejected for "motive" because of the very recognisable people in the frame.

Thanks very much Alex. You made my day. I'm going to remove my last post just in case anyone wants to save the images.

    Have a nice day,
    Dara
    Just gentle a reminder.

And I have a question, can I upload a photo without a specific date? I have a shot from the cockpit of Iranian government B707 and due to security reasons, I don't want to specify a date if possible.
    Cheers,
    Dara
