  • United Airlines Hubs By Size In Order Of Destinations?

    Hello,

I recently posted this on another form but two users totally went off on a tangent and started getting into an argument and got political with each other, so it was obviously and rightfully shut down. I am just trying to know if anyone can tell me the list of UA Hubs AND focus cities (CLE, GUM, & NRT) in order of size by number of cities served by UAL and UAX, no Star Alliance or JV routes just plane old United and United Express Aircraft. Below is what I believe the list to be. I know I am correct for the top and bottom of the list but the middle is where it gets fuzzy. Please help! It would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Please don't confuse the list I am requesting with number of daily departures, this is based on number of nonstop destinations served (even if it's seasonal or served just once a week like EWR-ANC (seasonal) or DEN-LIH (I think it operates on just Saturdays). Those should be added to the list.

Here's what I think it is, but I would love to find somebody who has some cold hard facts...
    IAH
    ORD
    DEN
    EWR
    SFO
    IAD
    LAX
    CLE
    GUM
    NRT

Hm. That again really seems like these pieces of homework, which...

And I know that, after you've asked your question somebody was online here who in my eyes is perfect for the answer to your question. Probably he didn't like to publish his assumption (or his precise data).

So, as I said, I'm not really the perfect man for your question. But I at least know all the ten IATA codes which you mentioned. That's not bad for somebody with my home airport, is it.

Is IAH really bigger than ORD, concerning the
    number of cities
    or the
    number of daily departures
on "the really ole traditional UA routes", pre-merger, as I assume.. You know that there is a difference between the number of cities and the number of all daily departures? The second number is much bigger.

Two really good questions, I like it. And I almost hear the man who I call the specialist laugh in the background..

Is this an invitation to IAH? They really seem to have one or two routes..

I'll definitely go for the 'number of traditional nonstop routes' question. 'Not the number of daily departures', as you say. Ah, obviously I've just begun to understand the question..
DUS says 0242 am local. Quite early for this kind of questions..

Traditional IAH nonstop routes, pre-merger? Hm. I assume that many flights between IAH and EWR are flights which we should not count. Because EWR was 'owned' by CO, pre-merger.
We do talk about these traditional UA routes, don't we. For example:
UA-B744 pre-merger I still like these colors. Not so much monochrome (or to be honest zero % monochrome)...

But back on topic. I'm not so sure if IAH still is bigger than ORD if we do not count all the cities which IAH gained after 2012..

O'Hare is strong. I mean, we all know where UA is at home. Hello?
