  • The Flying Eagle - Pre-Screening Advice

Hey guys, I got this photo denied. I know that the aircraft is far, but it's an Airport Overview. Why?

They said that it has been rejected for poor quality, but the photo has been shoot in RAW and it's 8,5 MB large...

The Flying Eagle - Pre-Screening Advice, please answer!

Hey all, I'm thinking about publishing this photo (Asiana Airlines B777 on short final). Are there some major issues? Can I post it without losing time and then having it denied?

Don't judge the image quality because it was 17 MB large and I had to compress it.

      1. please keep all pre/post screening requests in one thread
      2. neither of these images is upload size, so it is pointless to comment on their chances of acceptance
      3. both of these images are of very poor quality (soft, blurry, etc) so even if edited to upload size, it is unlikely they will be of suitable quality

        1) Resize and edit the photo
        2) post it here

I already edited it... only have to resize it. At what size? I don't remember...

Then resize it before posting. As I said, not much point in commenting on photos that aren't the ones that are actually going to be submitted.

I removed the blurry effect in the image and resized it at 1280x800.
              Is it good?

This would be rejected for soft/blurry, and contrast. As with the larger size original, the quality is simply not there, sorry.

How can I fix that in Affinity Photo? I know how to add a bit of contrast but how can I fix soft/blurry?

No, blurry images cannot be fixed with editing. You'll need to start with a (different) better quality image.

Both images are soft and lacking contrast a bit, but should be fixable.
