    What do you suggest?

Also where would prefer me to cut the photo? I could go back to original RAW and cut it at a different point.

    Thanks again.

    Arnold.
Sharpening won't (or at least shouldn't, if you're doing it right) cause halos. Halos are caused by adjusting brightness/highlights/shadows/contrast.

The crop is just awkward - too much aircraft for a tight shot, but obviously missing a significant part. I'd avoid cutting it altogether if possible.

ok - moving forward, I am trying out some new shots...

I can't see halos, and hopefully this image is not too soft. Please advise. Thank you.

This would be rejected for soft/blurry and overprocessed (editing halos).

Yippee! - Just had my first 2 photos accepted to the database - thank you for your help getting there.

Now trying Photoshop for the first time (previously I was using Canon Photo professional - nowhere near fit for purpose for JP)...

To that end, could you let me have your opinion of this B 777 - thank you.

            Image is very soft.

Congrats on your first two acceptances.

On the Ryanair, while the horizon looks slanted, I judged it by making sure the mini-control tower is absolutely vertical. If I rotate it CW, that tower will then be leaning.

                      Please confirm. Thanks.

If the horizon is visible, it will always be a better reference than verticals near the edges

I would advice to take the poles on the other side of the runway as reference. They are in the center of the photo. So with levelling the horizon to them the problem could be solved. Even the control-tower will look OK then.

                          Best Regards,

                          Wilko

                            Many thanks everybody.

Can I run this one past you....hope I've got the white balance, contrast and sharpness right with this one, can't see any jagged edges.

Would be rejected for soft, centering, and color (wrong color profile).
