I need help for understanding the halo. I got all my last submission rejection due to halo (Over Processed / Bad postprocessing, Visible editing halos.), https://www.jetphotos.com/viewqueued_b.php?id=7282543 .

What I understand from the guidelines the halo appears a a result of too much sharpening at the edge. I took all the pictures at the same day, same lens (Canon 100-400) in RAW.

Now I edited one of them (no sharpening, only adjusting the levels/curves iin Lightroom an exported. When I check again for dust there are the halos visible still. In the attachment I put the screenshot of the comparison from 'chek for dust with marks what my understanding of halo is) and the picture with no sharpening, only adjusting the curves.

Halos can't just be produced ba sharpening settings. There are many ways to get halos, such as using D-lighting in some Nikon cameras, auto-adjusting features (auto-colour, ...), shadow/highlights in Photoshop, and so on.mbest would be to post here all your editing steps detailed.

Three most common culprits are de-haze, clarity, and shadow/highlight adjustments. Try setting all those to zero and see what happens.

JetPhotos.com is the biggest database of aviation photographs with over 5 million screened photos online!

What do you think? It should pass without halo? Any other thing I have to pay attention?

        Danke

As you already have it in the queue, we won't pre-screen it anymore.

It was in the queue to make the halo visible. Now I deleted it, hope to receive your advice. I do not know how to check for the halo except than upload it to JP and tehn check for dust. That's why I uploaded it.

thanks for your great help already.

The easiest way is to equalize the photo in your photo editor. This one looks OK, no halos to see.

Obstruction on the first, and last a bit soft. Otherwise would be ok for me.

First two bit soft, but generally ok; third looks like some kind of filter on the sky; last one heat hazed/compressed.

                          Dear JP Form
Again I like to ask your advice vor pre-screening. Sometimes I see these nice pictures in the evening mood with sunglear and even sometime backlight. I really like these ones. That's why I want to ask you if any of the following pictures has a chance to get accepted.
What is the rule for backlight-sunset view's?

In general: Sometimes I see parts of the planes cut off. What is the acceptable rule to cut off parts of a plane? Is the second adjustable to be accepted?

No rule, just aesthetics and logic. Your image has the engine cut on the left, but a lot of empty space on the right - and yet still cuts the stabilizer. Not only does it look unbalanced, it doesn't make sense. If you're going to cut the stabilizer, why leave so much dead space? If you want all that space, why not include the whole stabilizer?
