After some feedback on the centering question. To move the crop to the left will cut the horizontal stabilizer off, to move it down will put the fuselage in the bottom third of the frame and if I widen the wisen the crop it risks being too small in the frame.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Aircraft is already too low. Needs to be a bit higher.

No Problems .. Thanks. Personally I think this will leave too much space below the aircraft but I am happy to edit to meet the requirements of the site.

    Thanks again

Image is backlit. This can't be fixed.

    Hi All

Just after some pre screen feedback on this Qantas 737. I am hoping that the aircraft is in focus.

    Thanks

Appears to be in focus, but crop is too wide and borderline contrast/backlit.

Thanks .. I'll bring the crop in and look at the contrast and see how it looks.

    Hi Community

I would appreciate some feedback on the below pictures. I have just bought a new camera and have applied my normal workflow to these images but want to see if this is too much / too little / just right for the new camera given the step up in camera quality.

    Thanks for your feedback

Maybe a touch soft and some light editing halos visible, but otherwise should be ok.

    Hi Community

I hope you can help because I need it at the moment! I'm getting way too many rejections and need to know what I can do to fix them.

These are some of my rejections this week .. can I please get some guidance on a) what was wrong with them, and b) how can they be fixed, if at all.

Thank you for your feedback .. its much appreciated!

Hi Chris, I'm not a screener but I can give you a small insight (better wait for a screener to really confirm)

    1. Borderline contrast/backlit: Fuselage is not well lit (Toplit in this case)
    2. Same as 1, but not as serious I do think increasing contrast a little bit (maybe 10) would help
    3. Low light on the fuselage so borderline contrast
    4. Again, toplit and editing halos visible (happens when you use dehaze, shadow or highlight in post-processing)
    5. Also editing halos
    6. Backlit is obvious here, so yeah there are no chances really.

To avoid halos, I would recommend using black & white if you do have Camera Raw Filter on Photoshop, or if you are using shadow or highlight most of the time then you can read #4 of this
    https://forums.jetphotos.com/showthr...ips-and-tricks

For toplit photos I think you should look for photos that the tail fin is properly lit. You should have more chances

This is just some of my opinions and insights only! The screener's opinion matters more.

Hope that you have a great day mate!

    DK

All taken in backlit (or nearly backlit conditions), and all have editing halos - although the halos are much less prominent in the images that weren't rejected for overprocessing.

The halos can be removed if you reprocess the images from the raw files without using whichever feature (shadow/highlights, clarity, vibrance, etc..) that caused them. The marginal/poor lighting can only be 'fixed' by shooting in better light conditions next time.

    Hi all

Just after a little bit of help with these 3 pictures ..

Emirates A380 - https://www.jetphotos.com/viewqueued_b.php?id=7092917 This one has been rejected twice now for being Soft. I thought I fixed it after the first time but obviously not. Any advice on where it is soft would be appreciated so I can fix.

    Same for this one ..

REX SABB340 - https://www.jetphotos.com/viewqueued_b.php?id=7092942 . This is the first rejection but I want to get it right before I re-upload.

    Qantaslink Q400 - https://www.jetphotos.com/viewqueued_b.php?id=7095309 . This one has been rejected for Over-processed.

    Thanks for your help
    Chris

    Hi,
Emirates is still really too soft. I believe it's most probably improvable via the correct sharpening settings. What is your sharpening technic ?
Saab is also too soft, tail almost looks blurry and I'm not sure you can make it sharp
Q400 has some light and dark halos around, probably due to some settings on editing (maybe you're using some auto editing instead of manual settings ?)

    Hope it helps
    Alex

First still soft, second should be acceptable.
