    Hi Team

Can I please seek clarification on these rejections? All have been rejected for "Similar Photo Uploaded"

Singapore Airlines - https://www.jetphotos.com/viewqueued_b.php?id=7113352 - I can only assume this is being compared to this one - https://www.jetphotos.com/photo/9217388 which, while the same rego and date was taken a number of hours apart. The plane in the database is on landing and the other is clearly a belly shot on take off so I am not sure how these are the same?

Cebu Pacific - https://www.jetphotos.com/viewqueued_b.php?id=7113359 - I can only assume that it is being compared to this one as it is the only other image I have of this aircraft - https://www.jetphotos.com/photo/9217389. Like the Singapore above, taken hours apart. The one in the database is on take off, the one rejected is landing.

Is "Similar Photo Uploaded" simply a case of I can't upload any photo off an aircraft more than once if its on the same day regardless of what is going on in the shot?

Can you please review and provide some guidance on these? I'm not looking to complain .. I actually would like to know so I can learn what "similar" in the eyes of the screeners looks like so I can make sure I don't have this issue again.

    Thanks for your help

Was rejected for "Similar photo uploaded" which I appealed as I don't think I do have a similar photo in the database .. this too was rejected.

Can you please review and let me know which photo is thought to be similar to this one? I'm not looking to complain .. I actually would like to know so I can learn what "similar" in the eyes of the screeners looks like so I can make sure I don't have this issue again.

OK, Thanks. I understand the timing issue however I thought that they would be considered different given the angles on them.

Guess not. Thanks for clarifying for me. I'll be more strict with my uploads.

Can you please confirm the issues with the Singapore and Cebu Pacific as well for me?

    Thanks again.

The SQ you could argue is not that similar and you would have a case, but whoever screened made the subjective decision that the images were too similar. I would not have voted so, but I couldn't promise you would win an appeal. The Cebu on the other hand is nearly an identical angle/composition (regardless of phase of flight), and I would have rejected that as well.

Basically you should be able to get four images of an aircraft accepted on any given day - one from each side on the ground, and one from each side in the air. This is why the two Virgin are obviously similar - same side, same sequence, within seconds of each other. Getting more than one image per phase of flight (i.e. in the air/on the ground) means the images have to be significantly different, and of course not from the same sequence. The Cebu are a different sequence, but subjectively very similar. The SQ is the only borderline one. Same phase of flight, but different sequence, and I would agree different enough angle/composition.

No problem. I understand. Thanks for clarifying this for me. That will be a big help when selecting which images I look to upload.

I will appeal the SQ when I am able to again (locked out for 24 hours as I appealed the Virgin - but now know better on that one) and I'll see how I go. Worst case is its rejected again

    Thanks again

Very strong editing halos around aircraft. Without knowing what caused them, can't really say how to avoid, but I'd start by looking at your editing process, especially anything involving shadow/highlight, clarity, etc.. kind of tools.

Thanks for your feedback on the above. I will re-edit.

Also, just had this F35 rejected for dirty and bad info. https://www.jetphotos.com/viewqueued_b.php?id=7162671

I found the dirty bit and can fix that, however, I am not sure of the Bad info rejection. I didn't change any of the auto settings when I uploaded the image so can you please advise what the bad info was so I don't have the same issue when I re-upload?
    Thanks

    Hi

Can I please get some assistance with the rejection for https://www.jetphotos.com/viewqueued_b.php?id=7184278 ? This was rejected for Bad Info and Invalid Hot.

In relation to the Bad Info - Can you please advise what the bad info is so that I can correct it?

In relation to the Invalid Hot - I was not able to find another image of this aircraft in the database thus making it the first image in the database. I thought this was classified as a Hot Image for priority screening? Am I wrong in mu understanding of Hot Image or is there already an image of this aircraft that I have just missed? If its neither of these and there is a different reason for the invalid hot rejection, can you please advise for my future reference?

    Thanks for your help

    Hi Community

Just after some feedback on the below images. Each of them have been rejected for a second time and I would just like some guidance on how to fix them since their 1st re-edit didn't appear to be suitable enough.

Garuda Indonesia A330 (Too Much / Too Little Contrast) - https://www.jetphotos.com/viewqueued_b.php?id=7266025
Qantas 737 (Too Much / Too Little Contrast) - https://www.jetphotos.com/viewqueued_b.php?id=7266026
Qatar Airways A380 (Too Much / Too Little Contrast) - https://www.jetphotos.com/viewqueued_b.php?id=7266031
QantasLink Q400 (Dark / Underexposed & Too much or too little contrast) - https://www.jetphotos.com/viewqueued_b.php?id=7266034
Qantas 737 (Too Much / Too Little Contrast) - https://www.jetphotos.com/viewqueued_b.php?id=7266038
Qantas 737 (Too Much / Too Little Contrast) - https://www.jetphotos.com/viewqueued_b.php?id=7266041

I would like to be able to fix these however I clearly need some guidance or at least some clarification on what exactly to fix.

    Thanks
    Chris

Unfortunately you can't 'fix' poor light. More editing is unlikely to provide better results. I'd advise moving on from these images, and trying again with images taken in better conditions.
