    Default Xander Picot: editing advice

Hi everyone, thought I'd start a thread for my pictures

I'm not sure if this is the right place, but I recently had multiple rejected for JPEG compression artifacts
I shoot in RAW and save at 12 in Photoshop. I save them from Flickr if that makes a difference.

Any advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated
    Thanks!

Try and save the images as a smart object before converting to a JPEG. It prevents excess compression for the most part.

Must be a step somewhere during the export from Photoshop. Make sure you have your quality settings as high as possible.
Don't save them from Flickr either, take them straight from Photoshop. Extra steps and compression will cause this.

Sure sounds like Flickr is your culprit there. Saving at quality 12 in PS wouldn't have resulted in a 65kb file. That's probably Flickr processing to save space, I've seen other sites doing the same. Do a side-by-side to confirm: take the same image straight out of PS and out of flickr, then equalize both and compare.

Not only do they look severely compressed/pixelated, but if you look at the actual file size of the images, they are far below what they should be. As an example, this one:

    https://www.jetphotos.com/viewqueued_b.php?id=7310834

is only 66kb. An image at that resolution saved at maximum quality should be at least 200kb, if not more. As noted, not a good idea to save from Flickr which is almost certainly applying its own compression.

As a side note, all images are also the wrong color space, and all future uploads should be set to sRGB please.

Thanks for the replies, everyone! That helps a lot. I figured it was Flickr doing that
Also for the color, I'll change that as well
