      Fitting to the description
      Emirates,
      Qatar Airways,
      Both are financially well backed
Both ordered the 380 in sizeable quantities

        Guess the Airline!

        Emirates is right.
It isn't Qatar because their A300s are well over ten years old and their A330 aren't getting t small.

          How about this one:
          1. I was formed in 1946
          2. One of my aircraft was shot down in 1954
          3. I changed my livery in 1994
          4. My current average fleet age is around 7 years
          Who am I?

                  My turn!!!

                  1) I'm the oldest airline in the Americas.

                  2) I allied with my main competitor, just to break it up.

                  3) My customers hate me, but somehow they don't stop flying me.

                  Another airline...

                  1) I started as Boeing's passenger/mail airline.

                  2) I share my main hub with another big airline.

                  3) Speaking of Boeing, I was the first customer for 2 of their planes.

United, I suppose. I wonder what it would be like if Boeing wasn't forced to sell their airline business.

My first time Boeing purshases were off course some 707s
                          Regards

                            Right on all accounts.

                            Avianca:

                            1) Founded in 1919 as Scadta, a Colombian-German joint venture

                            2) The famous (or should i say infamous?) Alianza Summa, which turned to be a big-ass scam to break Aces up.

                            3) Colombian air travelers have had a love-hate relationship with Avianca for many years, unlike Aces, which was Colombia's darling airline.

                            United

                            1) Self-explanatory, it happened precisely in 1926

                            2) ORD, which shares with American

                            3) Launch customer for the 727 and the 777.
