Can I get some help with these rejects:

    1. https://www.jetphotos.com/viewqueued_b.php?id=6270108. Since the tail and rear of the aircraft is in the shadow of the hangar, the aircraft is not uniformly exposed.
Indeed, and a such, might not be fixable.

But I am worried about 'Digital Manipulation'. Does it mean I modified something in the pic? The only workflow I employed was 'Horizon Level -> Crop -> Levels -> Resize to 1200px -> Select Edges -> USM 50, 0.5 about 12 times'.
I checked the log; screener left remarks that the dark shading at the top looked like it might have been the result of a digital filter applied in post. Can't say that I necessarily agree, but that's evidently what the manipulation rejection was for. Motive is ok for me; as you said, faces aren't really identifiable.

Color (yellow/green cast) might be fixable by adjusting the white balance, but the poor light (almost looks backlit) would be much more difficult to address.

Thanks Dana as always for the clarification.

      2. Whats interesting is that I did not get receive those screener comments in the e-mail. Here is a screenshot of what I got in the mail.

      3. Let me see if I can rework the RAW files. The sun was definitely behind me (one of the reasons, I always do Wings Over Houston ), but I am assuming the morning overcast messed it up.

Sorry, should have been more clear: the remarks were left as an internal note, and were not meant to be passed on to you at the time.

May I add, the screener's remark to the photographer is only visible in the mail, not in the screening history shown above. It said "dark halo at the top, looks like a filter"

The screenshot I shared was from the mail and it did not have the remarks. I guess that is correct if it was internal comments as Dana mentioned.

Thanks a lot for the feedback Gerardo, since I was confused about lighting.

My bad, I thought it was a screenshot from the rejections page. The remark was indeed only intended for fellow screeners.

                    Hi,

Pre-screening: Will this pic be acceptable for JP database, considering the dawn lighting?

                    Rejection advice: https://www.jetphotos.com/viewqueued_b.php?id=6261132
Is it because of the ladder which is actually a part of the plane, or the orange cone that is obstructing part of NLG?

                    Thanks and regards,
                    Siddarth

                      Hi,

Wishing the JP Crew and users a very happy new year.

Can I get some feedback on this reject - https://www.jetphotos.com/viewqueued_b.php?id=6283128? I had centered it considering the engine only.

                      Thanks and regards,

I'm not a screener but, to me the engine seems a bit low in frame. Maybe also a bit CW Rotation.
The engine seems to hang down...

While I have to admit I'm not a fan of the composition overall, I don't see anything specifically wrong with the centering.

                              Hi,

Can you please help with these rejects:

                              1. https://www.jetphotos.com/viewqueued_b.php?id=6323116 Trying to understand the Backlit. The sun was definitely behind me and the under belly and tail is well exposed

                              2. https://www.jetphotos.com/viewqueued_b.php?id=6323173 Not able to find the glare. Am I missing something obvious?

                              3. https://www.jetphotos.com/viewqueued_b.php?id=6323304 Not able to find the glare

                              4. https://www.jetphotos.com/viewqueued_b.php?id=6327215 Is the whole pic blurry of just parts of it?

                              5. https://www.jetphotos.com/viewqueued_b.php?id=6332227 I used the JP horizon tool and used the building in the background. You will see some verticals are straight and some are not.

                              Have a nice weekend

                                Hello Siddarth.

Not a screener, but maybe I can help you.

At nr 1 the sun has been very high I assume, because all the bellys are dark, which can be explained as backlit.
At nr 2 there are glares in the cockpit windows, which are destroying the sharpness especially inside the cockpit. Wondering if it's taken inside the teminal.
Nr .3 should be defineteley taken from inside the terminal and through the glass, because there are many reflections visible caused by the glass you've taken it through.
Nr 4 seems blurry especially towards the nose or you did too much sharpening?
Nr 5 is leaning to the right. needs some ccw. I would use the pole close to the left part of minitrain (the small pole just in front of the power pylon) as my reference.

                                Best Regards.
