  • FSD T-38 Nasa c/s over California

Some shots from this afternoon's flight over the hi-desert of California, out of China Lake NAWS.

The FSD T-38 is a beautiful plane, I got it from flightsim.com...

Burning accross a dry lake at over 600kts...

One more of the cockpit...nice panel as we approach runway 21 at China Lake.

All screenshots taken with FS2002 in 1600x1200x32 and 2x Anti-Aliasing, Bi-linear Filtering, reflections on.

Nice Clovis. I liked that t-38 when I had it.

So, do you prefer high quality graphics or high fps?

Hard to say...it seems to run well with the T-38 even at 1600x1200 and with mostly everything maxed out...as you can see there I only had terrain mesh complexity to 50%...but I was getting 20fps everywhere...

I prefer graphics to fps unless I'm trying to do something specific (like aerobatics)

And I just figured out it has all black Holloman AFB colors too!!! Those are awesome!

Is that the version with the reflections? If so, it is badass....

Yeah they all have reflections...although...I think they should have left the black paint matte...I've seen the real aircraft up close at the KVNY airshow a bunch of times and it is REALLY BLACK. The thing looks awesome when it comes over to break for landing...like this thin black dart...

I'm going to take some screens of it this afternoon if I get some time.

I used to see T-38s all the time when I lived near the edge of Ellington Field (KEFD) in Houston, where the Astronauts train. Those little planes are sweet.

Yeah I think they are used alot to keep the astronauts proficient in jet time. I need to post shots of the Holloman AFB all black sheme...its awesome.

that is a great plane, Owen Hewitt who was the main builder is redoing it in GMAX and releasing that with a C-17 for $12 combined

Here is the Holloman scheme, departing Edwards AFB

                            Randolph

Jeff Stoermer even did a Beale paint scheme, they are all available at AVSIM
