I've picked out a few planes I want to add to FS 2002 (I just got it, along with a new computer recently), but have no clue what I'm doing.... I'm on Windows XP & have a couple of the files on my computer, but not in the game.
Can anybody walk me through how to get them from my computer to the game?
Okay josh... you want to move the aircraft files that you downloaded from your desktop.. or whatever file you downloaded them into to your Flightsimulator?
Yeah...I was (remarkably) able to unzip some of the files & those planes were in the game, but I couldn't with others. I downloaded a DL 757 & a NW DC-9 & was able to get those in, but I tried it with others & it didn't work.
Hmmm... what do is download the files from flightsim.com to the desktop. Then, i right click on the files and select "Extract to..." and send it to the aircraft folder in MS Games FS2002. Then, I double check that the file made it to the Aircraft folder. You want it to be all in one folder. None of this 8 different files spread out that belong to that plane. If you see the 8 files and not the main folder.. Check to see if there is a aircraft folder inside the main aircraft folder. Ive found a few of the Main folders for the downloaded plane in the second aircraft folder... Once you have that main folder for the downloaded aircraft selected and put into the main aircraft folder... open FS2002 and it should be there... at least thats how it works for me! Good luck!
