for some reason i cant get the yaw damper to turn on in fs2004 does any one know why this is

Because Microsoft goofed up on that.....

here is how to fix it.....


there are small code chage to aircraft.cfg file that you have to make in order
to get yaw damper button work in FS2004

in section autopilot section chage this small line like this:
[autopilot]
yaw_damper_gain=1.000000
