  • Hi ya,
Should this shot of the tiled tail end of PH-BQP be uploaded as a ramp shot or as a standard aircraft one?
    Regards
    René

      • I have this photo uploaded and rejected with reason: over processed.

I have edited again with all normal procedures. Is the quality possible for JP or I just keep it as personal collection? Thank you.

        • Hi All,

I've spent quite some time trying to edit these shots, and I'm hoping they're up to scratch. The first two were taken during a dust storm, hence the noise and lack of visibility. The last one involved a journey into the realm of curves (with which I'm not entirely confident). If work still needs to be done, I would appreciate any guidance!

          Cheers,
          Gareth

          • Hi,

Could a screener take a look at these two shots and
advise me on if I should upload them - thanks,

            Mike

            • Hi,
              Please opinin for photo:
              1.

              2.

              3.

              4.

I use levels and curves, I did as a guide http://www.jid.me.uk/tutorial1.html (thank to Alex Saffe)
              Hope contrast better now.
              Regards,

              • Sorry for the late reply guys.

                1. René - Looks good. I'd upload it as a ramp.
                2. Bjorn - Looks a little low in the frame to me but apart from that the crop looks good.
                3. ntduong - Have you used any noise reduction?
                4. Gareth - IMO the first two are lacking in contrast. As for the third I like it a lot.
                5. Mike - The first is very compressed, not sure if that's down to JP forums or not. The second looks quite soft.
                6. Siegi - First needs some CW rotation (around 0.3 looks ok to me), the others all look acceptable. The jaggies could do with being erased on the second Transaero a bit more though.

Just my opinion, doesn't mean they'll all get accepted

                Sam

Haha Sam, had that experience a couple of times
Thanks, will place the a/c a bit higher in the frame.

                            1. Appears to be a little soft.
                            2. Soft, grainy and leaning to the left.
                            3. Slightly soft. It might make it but one or two passes of USM at 50_0.2_0 should finish it nicely.
                            4. Leaning to the left. Use a centre vertical to level it.
If it 'ain't broken........ Don't try to mend it !

                              • Similar?

                                Hi all,

I'm just wondering if these two shots would be considered similar? They were taken from the same aircraft probably about 20-30 seconds apart. They show (in my opinion) significantly different areas of the airport but I thought I'd just ask before uploading. Also, I'm assuming this should be uploaded under the aircraft's registration with wing view and airport categories selected - is this correct?

Of course, if there are any quality related issues I'd be happy for your advice!

Thanks so much for the help,
                                Gareth
