    Good evening.

Would the following being accepted - still having a few issues with photos being soft. If these are soft could you explain why they are soft and can they be fixed.

Many thanks for your help and hard work.

    Ian.

Just looking for some advice on avoiding photos rejected for being soft.

Firstly, I use a Canon 7D and use Auto Focus and Aperture Priority usually at F/14 and ISO at Auto - are these the best settings?

Secondly in terms of editing, I used Lightroom and move the sharpening slider to 100. Is there anything else I can do?

I have attached a couple of photos that have been rejected - can they be fixed used Lightroom?
Can't say for sure what is causing the issue without seeing the originals, but these are all soft, especially the last. Submitting at larger resolutions also does not help things.

I don't know what kind of lens you are using,
but I think that around F/8 and a shutter speed of about 1/1000 are good for camera settings.
Camera shake may be one of the causes of soft images.

    1. dark/contrast
    2. soft, needs a bit of a tighter crop.
