Earlier this evening, May 18th 2023, Iceland Air flew its inaugural flight to Detroit metro, DTW. After departing Keflavik Iceland around 5pm, TF-ICN the Boeing 737 Max 8 operating flight 873 would make a 6 hour and 21 minute flight arriving at Detroit at 715pm. After just over an hour of ground time at Detroit’s Evans terminal, flight 872 would depart back to KEF after being sent off with a water canon salute for its estimated 5.5 hour flight
