Apparently EVA Air is still unsettled with its 777 order.
During an interview with Taiwan's media, the company says "we still did not rule out the possibility of getting A340-500/-600, if they offer us competitive price. However, if Boeing offers a better price, we will stick with the aircraft we orders," and "we are not trying to make any assumptions at this stage, but we will definetely make an announcement (possible coverting 8 777X option into firm, reported by Flight International earlier this year; or order A340-500/-600 instead)this year.
