  • PAN AM's A300's In 1997?

Just going through PAN AM's pics when i came across this one, is the info correct?

Just about airborne from 22R.. N860PA. Airbus A300B4-203. JetPhotos.com is the biggest database of aviation photographs with over 5 million screened photos online!

    Thanks,

    Joe,

If I'm correct Pan Am II did operate A300's but I'm not sure if they operated them out of New York or just Florida. Pan Am II did have transcon operations; to bad they didn't make it they were more similar to the first Pan Am then the current Pan Am.

Yeah I came across a similar thing. There seemed to be PanAm 727s and A300s still flying in 2003. I was a little confused by this cause I thought that they went under over ten years ago.

The info is correct, N860PA was leased to Pan Am II between mid-1996 and late 1997. There is still a company called Pan Am today, or better Pan Am III, based at Portsmouth, NH. They operate 727-200s only, no A.300s. The sighting of a Pan Am A.300 in 2003 is not quite possible, unless it was a stored plane somewhere.

        Peter

          Hi,
Pan Am also had A310's some of which latter joined Delta Air Lines and where used on routes from Atlanta to Manchester for example.

          Thanks

              Hi,
They had the A310's between 1985 and 1991.

              Thanks

To further clarify the matter, that was Pan Am I (the original Pan Am) operated the A.310s. Pan Am II had A.300s, and Pan Am III has no buses whatsoever.
