hmmm.....seems kinda an unexpected move from nwa, but I seriously doubt that they will add as many flights as in MKE, even though I am very happy for Madison!

                Great for NW.
I guess all of Skyteam must be closely eyeing US Airways' DCA opps.

                One question though:
Where are the slots coming from?

NW has avaliable slots at DCA, no need for extra.

Maybe, but US leases several slots from NW, many of you probably dont remember but NW at one time had a hub at DCA.

                      A hub?

                      Where did they serve?
                      How many times per day?
                      What planes?

I really had no idea...just wondering if anyone could get some specifics.

Not exactly sure on the first one, I believe, MCO, DTW, MEM, BOS, LGA, etc were a couple of them, they had at the peak well over 100 flights a day.

I believe the hub was back in around 1993 mostly with DC-9's and 727's before they decided to use the planes are other routes. My dad was based at DCA for about 3 months.
