  • Alitalia US Flight Diverted

An Alitalia flight from Milan to Boston was diverted to Bangor, Maine, and one
passenger was removed because his name matched a name on the US no-fly list. This problem is becoming more common now and it shouldn't happen!! The queation is why was this person allowed to board in the first place??

Didn't the same thing happen last week with a CDG-BOS flight?

Especially with Langoliers . And I second the question of why they can't just pull a person supposedly on the no-fly list before the flight actually departs?

And do we ever find out the result of this diversion? . . . i.e. was the person truly a threat and/or genuinely on the list!?
