    Boeing press release:

SEATTLE, May 19, 2005 -- Boeing is pleased the Board of Directors of Air France has approved the purchase of five Boeing 777 Freighters, with options to buy three additional 777 Freighters.

"Air France already operates a fleet of 777-200ERs and 777-300ERs. The high level of commonality among the three 777 models will bring Air France additional benefits in terms of lower operating costs, initial investment and common infrastructure," said Marlin Dailey, vice president of Sales for Europe and Central Asia, Boeing Commercial Airplanes.

In addition to Air France, Air Canada announced its plans to include the 777 Freighter in its future fleet in April. Boeing expects to formally launch the airplane this year.

The Boeing 777 Freighter, with a capacity of more than 100 tonnes, will be the world's largest and most capable twin-engine freighter. Due to enter service in fourth quarter 2008, the 777 Freighter will fly farther than any other freighter. It will be based on the technologically advanced 777-200LR Worldliner, the world's longest-range commercial airplane.

2 or 3 months officially. It has been speculated for over a year though.
