PRAGUE, Czech Republic Czech Republic's biggest privately owned airline, Travel Service, has signed a contract with Boeing Co. to purchase two planes, the airline said Friday.
The company said in a statement it will receive two Boeing 737-900s under the 1.8 billion koruna (US$80.66 million; €63.35 million) deal in 2009.
Travel Service, which has a fleet of 10 Boeing 737 planes, said it carried more than 1.8 million passengers last year. In May 2004, the company also started operating the country's first low-cost airline, Smart Wings.
