    Anyone know where/when this was?

    I believe that was an early MD-80 test in the late 80s, I think. So yeah, after that incident, they decided to strengthen the connections.

      I can't find anything on the NTSB website. If it's a test flight would there still be an NTSB report? I'm thinking no.

        This was a test flight in 1980 with one of the M80 testbeds. There were seven crew members onboard and they were doing test runs around KEDW. On this approach, the pilot made an error during final and the aircraft ended up having too high a descent rate, the end result you see in the video. One of the guys was in the rear lav when the tail separated! Needless to say, he got broken ribs and bones, but he was fine afterwards.
