After reading a post on the 'worlds best aviation forum' I noted that most have no bloody clue what they are talking about. There is a topic asking what L1011's are still in service, someone mentioned the 2 Sands L1011's and that one is still in Saudi Arabia!
Well BOTH went to the US ages ago, there is a pic in the JP database of them both in Vegas before heading off to be refitted.
Anyway I have never heard of either of them starting service, they have not been to Macau (the Asian hub of Sands) and I've not seen any pics of them operating. That was before this Monday the 5th of May when N388LS was noted on a remote ramp here in Hong Kong, its still there today (9th), its not operating for the Sands, this is a private VIP flight.
So for all you L1011 lovers.. hope this is good news.
