That would be a horrific day in aviation, Daley is a money-hungry unrealistic bastard when it comes to aviation.

Justa another BIG disappointment as the ones we've seen those days....
        Meigs Field closing, Aces bankrupt....

        For Cubana:
Daley is Chicago Mayor, who closed Meigs in a very coward way.
Meigs filed is that airport that appears by default on Flight Simulator.

He'd probably do it if he thought he could get away with it. Then again as long as he rules Chicago, he CAN get away with anything.

Only if they mispelled his name as Delay International...it would be appropriate for both parties...

                    I wouldn't care, it's only an airport.

For the second time in two days you post a half understood piece of second hand misinformation in this forum, allegedly picked up from somewhere else (see thread on shortest flight).

Chicago Orchard Field was renamed O'Hare in honour of Lt Edward O'Hare a WW2 Naval fighter pilot who became the firat American "ace" of the war on February 20 1943. He was killed in action on November 26 1943 in circumstances never fully explained - he may well have been hit by friendly fire.

O'Hare's father was gunned down by Al Capone's mob whilst O'Hare Jnr was at Pensacola NAS. It is thought that O'Hare Snr was a government informer.

I find it bad enought that Washington National is named after Reagan and that Houston Intl is named after Bush. I will NEVER call those airports by those presidents names because they don't deserve to have an airport named after them. People who deserve to have an airport named after them are people who clear and defuse landmines and heroic stuff like that. Not sitting in an office all day ordering people to war.
