  • Something confusing about Airtran...

    Hi everyone!

There are a few things about AirTran Airways that confuse me.

First of all, everyone is saying how they cannot operate "longer" nonstop flights, until they get the 737s, but don't they operate A320's to LAS, SFO, DEN, and LAX?

Secondly, people are saying that if Airtran does go International anytime soon then they are going to start with Canada or the Carribean, but don't they already fly to the Bahamas?

    Thanks...

The A320s are operated by Ryan International Airlines, who AirTran contracted to do the route until the 737NGs are in the fleet in large enough quantities. Yes, the Freeport flight is international, but two flights a day (1 from ATL and 1 from BWI) to FPO does not an international airline make.
