Final talks between Russia and Taiwan authorities on scheduled direct flight is almost finished. The talk, lasted for 10 years.
Transaero says it'll send some crews to Taipei at the end of April for preparation of Taipei launch. First flight is due on May 26 with B767-200ER.
If there's no "interference", first flight should be around April/May, according to Taiwan authority. The non-stop flight between Taipei and Moscow is 11hrs, this will cut 9 hrs of additional travel flight via EU cities.
China Airlines and Transaero plans to fly this route twice a week under code-share. CI will fly A340-300, Transaero will fly B767-200ER.
Proposed schedule for first Transaero flight:
May 26 DME2300-1400+1TPE
May 27 TPE 2200-0730+1DME
Flights will arrive at Domodedovo, instead of near-collapsed Shermetyevo.
