CO cuts int'l routes

Continental Airlines is temporarily suspending several long-haul routes out of New York Newark between April 6 to May 1.

-1 of 2 daily EWR-LGW will be axed
-1 of 2 daily EWR-CDG will be axed
-Smaller planes will be used for Rome, Amsterdam
-3 out of 7 weekly EWR-NRT wil be axed from April 24
-1 of 2 IAH-LGW will be axed
-2 of 7 weekly CLE-LGW will be axed

Does anyone know what a/c they will be using on the AMS and FCO routes? i'd guess at least a 752 for AMS and probably a 762 for FCO, b/c i doubt a 752 could make an EWR-FCO hop, that would be a miserable flight even if it were possible.

Thats good thinking from CO's side. UA reports it will lose 40% of its pax in Intl flights due to war.
