  • Five to face Concorde crash trial

Five people are to stand trial over the Concorde crash near Paris eight years ago which killed 113 people, French judicial officials say.

They are two employees of Continental Airlines, two from Concorde maker Aerospatiale, and the French civilian aviation authority.

The trial will take place in two to three months' time, the officials say.

The plane burst into flames shortly after take-off from Paris' Charles de Gaulle airport on 25 July 2000.

This should be interesting. This Seems futile but I guess we shall see.

What would this achieve apart from it costing more money and maybe the insurance company could recoup some of the payout money.

Does seem a little OTT and then, will it open the flood gates for cases to be opened up again as well?
