MONTREAL - An Air France Boeing 747 skidded off the runway at Montreal’s Trudeau International airport after it landed Tuesday afternoon.

Early indications are there were no serious injuries and video of the airplane shows no signs of major damage, Montreal police confirmed.

Emergency vehicles surrounded the jumbo jet at the airport as crews worked around the aircraft, which was stuck in the grass beside the runway.

The airport remains open and television footage shows planes continuing to take off and land.

It appears that everyone on board is uninjured.

On the photo in the last post the runway is clearly wet, and the a/c seems to be on the far end. I know of several incidents when an aircraft taxiing a bit too fast (or rather not fully slowing to taxi speed after landing to make it quicker to the turnoff at the end of the runway) slipped on the white painted 'piano keys' in wet weather. Some end up in the grass ...

Just taking it to the edge...

Not much to say but another photo -

Seems like everyone got off after an hour and the plane has only suffered a blown front undercarraige.... lucky eh!!
