Last B762 ride? Good chance as they are leaving the fleet. Fin 613 (C-GDSP) left 29Aug. It is in Mirabel (YMX) for a couple of weeks then off to the desert. Only 7 B762's left.

I had booked an Aeroplan reward ticket to Vegas late Oct and since that point got a number of revisions to the original ticket/itinerary that I really did not pay much attention to. Glad I had a look at it today, as they had bumped up my YVR-LAS flight (AC 544) from 1445 hrs to 1150 hrs. No problem except no one addressed the fact my inbound connecting flight out of YYC got into YVR at 1149 hrs, giving me a whole minute to collect bags, clear US customs etc!!!!! Anyways they fixed the problem and I now connect through DEN. Also confusing was the fact the e ticket listed three different return flights out of Vegas connecting through DEN. Makes you wonder if someone would have caught this before I showed up at the airport 28 Oct??

Didn't see Elvis in person but the visit to Graceland was interesting, and the visit to the National Civil Rights Museum even more so this morning.

Home on the above rtn flights tomorrow, at work Monday for one 12 hour day, then off to HNL for five days/four nights 1021above details.

I will be able to non-rev in 2 weeks, if loads hold up, I will get my share of the Brasilia with a trip I have planned to visit some friends after training in ends in LAX.

LAX-SBA-SFO-ONT-SFO is the route I'm hoping for, looking at loads it seems reasonable, besides, I don't have to go to work for a week after training. I will also use that week to fly SJC-SMF on a QX Q400 for $70 then return on Skywest, and also SFO-CIC-SFO probably the next day.

Can't wait to fly free.

Hawaii Here I Come!

After a VERY busy one day back at work in YMM, now am in YEG at the Maple Leaf Lounge en route to YVR and then on to HNL. Just became Aeroplan "Elite" for the remainder of this year and all of next so see if that will translate into anything different. I have not gotten the upgrade certificates yet so don't expect much.

I've never flown on a holiday before. My travel agency said that if I wanted to avoid the crowded xmas masses I should try it on that day. Is that true? I mean, will I be able to stretch my legs out bcoz only idiots like me are going to fly on party day?
And does anybody know whether those Air Canada jets are equipped with individual entertainment screens for each seat, or do they come only with some of those bigscreen TVs (got spoiled on BA flights *g*)?

Great tripto Vegas, even the United/TED flts were OK. Won more than $1000 which meant I came home with more $$$$ than I took!

Star Alliance Gold meant no luggage hassles and check in at LAS was a breeze despite having two bags of hockey gear:

Off to TO this Thurs as previously reported. Once again the reservation changed, AC1161 became AC157, and the YEG-YMM flight was advanced a couple of hours, meaning I would have missed the connection.....AC 1198 looks quite full.
