    • Phuket..

Nope, too far East...but the runway where we are does have a beach at each end. Largest aircraft it can handle is a Boeing 767-200.
If it 'ain't broken........ Don't try to mend it !

      • Okay, having a beach at both ends put me off. I was gonna say an airport in the Mediterranean, likely Greece, but I can't think of anyone that fits the dual beach category.

        • Greece...yes.

Sometimes known as "The Poor Man's St Maarten" among aviation photographers.

Approach over water, not a very big beach, a road...and the runway. There is a beach at the other end but it's not used much.

Give the man a cigar. Skiathos it is. I think my favourite of all the Greek islands. Covering only 50km2 it's one of the most beautiful places on earth. Like I said, the poor mans St. Maarten for aviation photography.......

                • Hopefully this will be a relatively easy hint for everybody.

This airport is home to the stars of the US military.

That's either NAS Pensacola (Blue Angels) or Nellis AFB (Thunderbirds), whichever one of the two you prefer.

                    • Not quite sir, not referring to performance team but to a squadron with a closer relationship to the word "star". Also to aid in your search it is in the southern US.

                          Not Andrews either.

It is however in a line with Pensacola and Andrews. Closer to Pensacola than Andrews.
