when you get out spotting, which cards do you primarily use for pictures, coz I have a 128mb and the 1024mb CF card, and I usually just use the 1G card, how about you ?
btw these *small* cards, are they from previous buys or did the 256mb go with the 20D ?

I have a 16MB (came with my coolpix), 2 128mb, 1 256mb and a 512, looking forward to get 2 more 512 or a 1G
Nice shots Eric and it does look pretty sharp.
Have you got any in the DB taken at or close to 400.
I rremember playing with in in Tokyo a while ago and the only thing i thought wasnt great was the speed of the AF which would still be fine for almost all airliner shots anyway.
It was a fair bit cheaper than the 100-400 as well.
Looks real good and nice to see some shots from it.

Although a 2gb would still do.. for back up. (just in cases any errors you might get with the 4gig)
The biggest thing i can get for a decent price is a 1GB Ultra II, maybe 2GB Ultra II, anything above, including Microdrives are way cheaper in the USA.
why 2 more 512's `?............. Although a 2gb would still do.. for back up. (just in cases any errors you might get with the 4gig)
John you would be better off with 2x2g or 4x1g .......if your 4g goes arse over tit you are stuck.
And can your computer handle one 4g download.Even with my faitly fast unit I download to files of 1/2 gig so PS doesn't complain. The browser in PS chews up memory.
