Would be rejected for color/contrast/dirty.

I don't know what it's like where you are, but here in Perth, Australia aviation activity has dropped significantly, and we're also being encouraged to stay home. I've exhausted my entire backlog of unedited and unsubmitted images, so the 787 below will probably be my last for a little while.

Quality-wise, a bit soft, and contrast/backlit will be an issue for here. Aesthetically-wise.. well to each their own I guess

apart from the image quality issues, this aircraft was coming in to Perth to repatriate German passengers from a cruise ship that had had a COVID-19 outbreak. On that 'newsworthy' basis, would it qualify as a 'hot' photo?

No.

Thank you. Can I ask you to have a look at this A320 please? An earlier version you said was 'borderline dark/soft' so I went back and processed it 'from scratch'. The lighting conditions on the day are pretty obvious.

Sharpness should be ok. Contrast, while ok for me, probably borderline.
